1. Scope
This Cookie and Tracking Policy explains how CopierPilot, trading as CopierPilot ("CopierPilot", "we", "us" or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with:
- the CopierPilot public website;
- account registration and sign-in pages;
- the CopierPilot web application or dashboard;
- subscription and checkout interfaces operated by or embedded for CopierPilot;
- support, security and service-status interfaces where they are integrated into CopierPilot; and
- other browser-based or application interfaces that link to this Policy.
This Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and, where relevant, the Subscription Disclosure and Peer Copy Terms.
Independent websites, brokers, trading platforms, prop firms and other third-party services may use their own technologies under their own policies.
3. Categories of technologies
3.1 Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies support functionality that is required to provide a service requested by the user or to keep that service secure and operational.
These may be used for purposes such as:
- establishing and maintaining an authenticated session;
- protecting sign-in, session and account security;
- preventing cross-site request forgery, abuse or malicious traffic;
- load balancing and core service routing;
- maintaining essential security or fraud-prevention state;
- preserving a user's cookie or privacy choice so that it can be honoured; and
- completing a checkout or other action specifically requested by the user where the technology is necessary for that action.
These technologies are not to be used as a disguised basis for optional analytics, advertising or cross-service profiling.
3.2 Preference and functional technologies
Preference or functional technologies may remember choices that improve convenience, such as interface preferences, language or non-essential display settings.
A preference technology may be treated as strictly necessary only where it is genuinely required to provide functionality expressly requested by the user. Otherwise, it must be treated as optional where applicable law requires a choice.
3.3 Analytics and performance technologies
Analytics and performance technologies may help CopierPilot understand how the website or application is used, diagnose usability issues, measure feature performance and improve reliability.
Where analytics technologies are non-essential, they remain disabled until the applicable choice has been made. When optional analytics are enabled, relevant details are made available through this Policy or Cookie Settings.
CopierPilot must not send private trading data or Peer Copy relationship data to general-purpose website analytics or advertising services merely because a user views or uses a trading feature.
3.4 Advertising, remarketing and attribution technologies
CopierPilot does not use advertising or remarketing SDKs in the authenticated product at initial launch. Any future advertising, remarketing or campaign-attribution technology requires Product, Privacy and Legal approval and the applicable user choice before activation.
If used in the future, the relevant provider and purpose will be disclosed. Optional advertising technologies must not receive:
- broker credentials or authentication secrets;
- account balances, equity or margin;
- positions, orders or trade history;
- realised or unrealised profit and loss;
- private Peer Copy relationship information;
- Source or Destination trading activity;
- Account Protection or risk settings; or
- personal trading Analytics.
Attribution should, where reasonably possible, be limited to campaign and conversion information that is not derived from private trading activity.
3.5 Embedded and third-party technologies
Some pages may contain services supplied by third parties, such as payment, support, authentication, video, scheduling, status or other embedded tools.
A third-party integration may set or access technologies independently. Before any such integration is released, CopierPilot must determine:
- whether it operates before or only after a user choice;
- which information is transmitted;
- whether the provider acts for CopierPilot or independently;
- the purpose and duration of its technologies; and
- how the integration is disclosed in the relevant technology information.
Non-essential embedded content should not load tracking technologies before the applicable choice has been made.
4. Website and application technology inventory
CopierPilot uses a small set of technologies needed to operate the website and Service. This can include local or session storage for theme and interface preferences, security or authentication state, and records of cookie choices.
Optional analytics or other non-essential technologies are only enabled where they have been approved for the production environment and the applicable user choice has been made. The Cookie Settings control, where shown, reflects the options available in the current environment.
CopierPilot does not use advertising or remarketing SDKs in the authenticated product at initial launch.
5. Your choices
5.1 Initial choice
Where a choice is required, CopierPilot's intended consent interface must allow users to make an informed selection before non-essential technologies are activated.
The interface should provide clearly understandable options to:
- accept optional technologies;
- reject optional technologies; and
- manage categories or other granular choices where separate purposes are used.
Optional categories must not be pre-selected in a way that treats inactivity as acceptance.
5.2 Rejecting optional technologies
Rejecting optional technologies should not block core account access, trade-copying functionality, Account Protection, private Peer Copy or other paid functionality unless a specific optional technology is genuinely necessary for the requested feature and that dependency has been separately reviewed and disclosed.
Some non-essential convenience or embedded features may be unavailable until the relevant choice is enabled.
5.3 Changing or withdrawing a choice
Users must be able to revisit their optional choices through a persistent or readily accessible Cookie Settings control.
Changing or withdrawing a choice should be as straightforward as making the original choice. When optional consent is withdrawn, CopierPilot should stop future use of the relevant non-essential technologies and, where technically supported and appropriate, remove or invalidate related first-party identifiers.
Withdrawal does not retroactively alter processing that occurred while a valid choice was in force.
5.4 Consent records
CopierPilot may store a record of the user's choices, including the consent-policy version, selected categories, timestamp and limited technical evidence necessary to demonstrate and honour the choice.
The consent record itself may be treated as necessary where it is required to remember or demonstrate the user's privacy choice.
6. Browser and device controls
Most browsers allow users to view, delete or block cookies and some forms of local storage. Device and application settings may provide additional controls.
Blocking all storage at browser or device level may interfere with authentication, security, preference storage or other core functionality. Browser deletion may also remove the record of a prior cookie choice, in which case the user may be asked to choose again.
Browser-level settings do not replace CopierPilot's obligation to apply its own consent controls where those controls are required.
Browser or device controls may also limit cookies or storage. Where CopierPilot supports a recognised privacy signal and applicable law requires it to be honoured, we will apply it accordingly.
7. Logged-in use and private trading data
The CopierPilot application necessarily processes technical service events and user activity required to provide account connections, Copy Routes, execution monitoring, Account Protection, Analytics and private Peer Copy. Those server-side service records are primarily governed by the Privacy Policy, even where they are associated with an authenticated browser session.
Cookie consent does not switch off processing that is genuinely necessary to provide a feature the user has requested. Conversely, being logged in does not give CopierPilot permission to activate unrelated optional advertising or analytics technologies without the applicable choice.
Private trading information must remain separated from optional advertising and general-purpose marketing technologies.
8. Peer Copy and tracking separation
Peer Copy is a private relationship feature. Cookie or tracking technologies must not be used to create:
- public Master profiles;
- public performance rankings;
- behavioural advertising audiences based on Master or Follower trading activity;
- public relationship graphs; or
- marketing segments based on balances, positions, trades, profit and loss or risk settings.
A Master must not receive a Follower's tracking, device, IP, security, analytics or investigation identifiers through ordinary Peer Copy functionality. A Follower must not receive the corresponding private identifiers of a Master.
9. Third-party providers
Third-party providers whose technologies operate through CopierPilot are disclosed where relevant to user choice or transparency.
Relevant categories may include:
- hosting and security;
- authentication;
- payment processing;
- customer support;
- error monitoring and diagnostics;
- product analytics;
- communications;
- embedded media or content; and
- advertising or campaign attribution, if later approved.
A provider's independent use of information may also be governed by its own terms and privacy information. CopierPilot must not describe a provider as receiving no information unless that statement has been technically verified.
10. Retention
Cookies and similar technologies are kept only for as long as needed for their stated purpose. Session technologies may expire when the browser or session ends; preference and consent records may remain longer so that choices can be remembered and demonstrated.
Where optional third-party technologies are enabled, their applicable duration is described through Cookie Settings, this Policy or the provider information made available with the relevant choice.
11. Changes to this Policy and consent model
We may update this Policy when technologies, providers, purposes or legal requirements change.
Where an update introduces a new non-essential purpose or materially changes an existing optional use, CopierPilot should not rely automatically on an older choice where a new choice is required. The Service should request a fresh decision before the relevant new technology is activated.
